Welcome to the Elementary Department!
Elementary aged children are very receptive to Jesus’ offer of salvation. So we are excited to have the opportunity to minister to your children! We expect to lead many of them to a personal saving relationship with Jesus and develop them as disciples.
Every child is made different and we seek to reach children according to their learning style. We hope the relationships your children form with peers and teachers encourage them to grow in godliness.
We have lots of fun here as we follow Jesus and we want your children to have fun, too, as they follow us following the Lord!
Where do my children go?
1st service (9:00 to 10:15)
All 1st through 5th graders meet in the community room for an age appropriate worship service that includes puppets, songs, object lessons, Power Point and lots of fun! Kindergarteners meet in room 112.
2nd service (10:45 to 12:00)
All classes meet for interactive Bible study. We hope to connect your child to God’s Word and connect your home with what is being taught here. So look for weekly take-home papers and be ready to ask your child questions about what they did and learned. The same topic is covered in all age groups, so if you have preschool children, they learned the same lesson!
Wednesday night (6:45 to 8:00pm)
All 1st through 5th graders begin in the gym for Adventure Club. Using skits, puppets, games, craft and small groups (of 8 to 12) we hope to introduce your children to Jesus and disciple them to grow in grace and knowledge! Late care is available until 8:45pm for children whose parents’ ministry times end later. Kindergarteners meet in room 112.

Please note!
[1] There are signs posted at each classroom door showing when and where each particular grade meets.
[2] If you stay for more than one hour you will pick up your child at a different place!
[3] Your timeliness in picking up your children is greatly appreciated by the volunteers who also have children to pick up!
Can you send my children to meet me after the service?
We prefer that you pick up your children in their rooms for a couple of reasons:
{A} It allows the teacher to communicate with you about the lesson and how your child did that day. This is very important to us!
{B} Our guidelines direct us to never leave elementary children unattended. They can get hurt or lost.
However, if you desire your 1st through 5th grade child to meet you at a designated place after a service you may sign the exemption form on your child’s registration sheet. Your child will be given an exemption card to keep with them. They must show this card to be excused without a parent. There is a $5 fee to replace a card.

What steps do you take to keep my child safe?
We desire to provide a professional, safe and godly environment for every child.
All of our volunteers (identified by their photo ID badge) have been attending our fellowship for at least six months. They have filled out applications and reference checks have been made. Background checks based on fingerprints are done for every volunteer.
Our guidelines direct us to have two adults in every classroom, a hall guardian during each service & to observe a safe bathroom policy.
Anything else?
Once a month, your child will have the chance to recite assigned Bible verses and receive prizes!
- Every parent should read our discipline policy in order to better communicate with their children and the volunteers.
- If you stay for your own adult Sunday school please observe our start and end times as they will differ from yours!
- This is great! How do I register?
August is pre-registration, but you can register at anytime by filling out a registration sheet available in every classroom.
