In 1979 a core group of about 30-35 people became interested in starting a new Baptist church in Mansfield. They felt the need to establish a church that focused, in a positive way, on the life-changing power of Christ.

For the first five years the church held services at Mansfield Christian School. The people went from the band room to a multi-purpose room, to a stage area, and finally into the newly finished school Chapel.

In January of 1985 we dedicated our first building on 2145 Middle Bellville Road. This facility contained a worship area that could accommodate approximately 225 people, plus a small overflow. In June of 1989 we completed our second building program. Much needed Sunday school space was added, in additions to a new sanctuary that would seat around 750 people.

Our attendance has grown from just over 30 people to between1200-1500 today. Numbers themselves are not important except that they represent people who want to know Christ and grow in Him. We count it a humble privilege to minister to each one who enters our doors. We hope that might include you.
